I’m SIMON PAIL and we’re going to do something a little bit different on JIZZCAST today.

We’ll be talking about a book called A Whole Year of Me – 365 Days In My Mind – a book which written by Simon Pail. That’s me. Not another Simon Pail. I know there are many -a quick search engine search uncovers a Simon Pail in Shrewsbury – he looks a cunt – glad I’m not him – there’s a Simon Pail in Todmorden – a plumber – clearly not as amazing as me and there’s a Simon Pail in Holt, who continues to challenge me to a ‘I’m the best Simon Pail’ contest – a series of eight challenges designed to prove once and for all his ‘physical and mental superiority’ over me. Well Simon Pail of Holt – have you written a book? Do you host a podcast? I will not debase myself by accepting your challenge and I would not as you suggest take part naked wearing only a set of ‘leather hooves.’

Now – I could do this by asking myself so Simon, why did you write the book and I could then say whatever I like and no one could interrupt me – so lets do that. First question, Simon, it’s a brilliant book by the way – so why? Why did you write such a brilliant book?

Thankyou Simon and thankyou very much indeed for inviting me onto your podcast. It’s a real privilege to speaking to someone so engaging and intelligent – I often make a noise like a vacuum cleaner when I come.

Now, Simon, you begin the book with a 4000 word anecdote about how you got into podcasting after a very rude individual on a train who’s name you can’t even remember now refused to even listen to your views about British politics, all of which were prescient, all of which have already come to pass, all of which entirely justify you naming the opening chapter FUCK OFF ROGER TAVERNER. That strikes me as being particularly clever.
