NEW BOOK OUT MATE!

'A RUNNING COMMENTARY [ON WHAT’S HAPPENING IN THE WORLD]' BY Barry Shinpad.

“I DID THIS. NOW THIS IS WHO I AM” reveals BARRY SHINPAD in this 386 page confessional linking his childhood experiences with his adult experiences and his inability to make a 5 hour train journey palatable without 10 cans of lager.

“WE ARE AN OUTWARD LOOKING NATION. OUR ART AND CULTURE IS PROPERLY WORTH INVESTING IN – WHY ARE ALL THESE INWARD LOOKING CUNTS CUTTING ARTS FUNDING?” BARRY announces as he arrives in Scotland to meet best friend ‘FIN’ at the train station. FIN, who’s spent the morning making a sandwich, instantly suggests they ‘hit the boozer’ so he can claw back some of BARRY’s 10 beer headstart.

They get a table in the pub and order lunch and FIN, who’s changed his name all legal and that from ‘Simon’ because he loves fish so much he wishes he had fins so he could be a shark, gets all upset when BARRY’s Fish and Chips arrive and insists BARRY hold a séance for his Haddock.

They festoon the table with candles and the recently departed fish comes through and says the sea was too salty for a fish of his sensibilities and he’s ‘well pleased’ to be out of it.

FIN vaporises the oncoming ‘tidal wave of sadness’ by getting himself another pint.
