TOWN has a new officer on the beat reports Chief Constable Law. "Officer 917, known down the station as ‘Dazza' has been with us on the force for six weeks now. It’s always a pleasure having him in the car. Whether its his constant ‘banter’ and gallery of questionable photo’s, or his love of getting behind his riot shield and finding an old man to knock to the ground, Dazza just loves the force. He of course has a keen interest in football. Football however has absolutely no interest in him But he does sometimes get to police live matches and be paid for it. His keenest joy of course is the baton and he’ll be competing on our behalf in the forthcoming police ‘baton’ championships where our men and women get to release their deeply felt inner rage for having been constantly sneered at by their peers at school.
